Together, they set the scene for an afternoon focused on how stronger Nordic stock markets can support innovation, growth, investment and more listed companies across the region.
Will we see more IPOs in the near future?
Expert panel discussion:
After several challenging years, are Nordic IPO markets ready for a comeback? Leading experts from stock exchanges, investment banks and the advisory community discuss the latest trends across Nordic stock markets, the outlook for new listings, and the factors that will determine whether the IPO window is set to reopen. What will it take to bring more companies to the stock market?
From Startup to Stock Exchange: The Swedish Model That Works
Sweden has more listed companies than any other EU member state and has built one of Europe's most successful stock market ecosystems. In this session, experts from DLA Pipers Nordic Capital Markets team explore the legal framework, investor culture and market structure behind Sweden's success. What lessons can the rest of the Nordic region learn to create more growth companies and strengthen Nordic stock markets?
Listing your SME company on a growth stock market? How, when and why?
Expert presentation and discussion:
What does it take for an SME to become ready for a stock market listing? Experts from leading Nordic growth markets and legal advisers provide practical insights into the listing process, key requirements and strategic considerations. The session explores when an IPO is the right choice, how to prepare, and how a stock market listing can support future growth and access to capital.
Flatpay and Ooono – What are the key considerations for a potential stock market listing?
Flatpay became Denmark's fastest-ever unicorn after raising €145 million, reaching a valuation of €1.5 billion in 2025. Ooono is another rapidly growing Danish technology company, widely regarded as a strong future unicorn candidate.
As these companies continue to scale internationally, could a stock market listing be the next step? Join the CEOs as they discuss the strategic considerations, opportunities and challenges founders and management teams face when evaluating an IPO, including the choice between listing in Europe or the US.
Listed Company Cases: Growth, Strategy and the Road Ahead
In two short investor-style presentations, two CEOs from listed Nordic growth companies take the stage to present their businesses, their growth journey and their ambitions for the future.
Thomas Zeihlund, CEO of Freetrailer, will present the company, which has been listed on Spotlight Stock Market since 2018. Kasper Gjedsted, CEO of GreenMobility, will present the company, which has been listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen since 2019.
CEOs: What we learned from life as a listed company
Going public is a major milestone — but what does life actually look like once you are listed?
In this panel, two CEOs share candid reflections on the realities of running a listed company. They will discuss what changes when a company becomes public — from investor dialogue, media attention and regulatory requirements to governance, board relations and the ongoing responsibility of communicating with the market.
Joined by an expert from the stock market ecosystem, the panel will also explore the practical realities of being listed and how governance and management practices evolve as a company grows from an entrepreneurial business into a publicly traded company.
A practical and candid conversation about what CEOs wish they had known before becoming part of the listed-company world — and what they have learned since.
Key Note: The long-term Nordic Investment Strategy of Folketrygdfondet
In this session, CEO Kjetil Houg will share Folketrygdfondet’s approach to long-term investing, active ownership and value creation. He will also discuss the fund’s Nordic investment strategy, including its investments in Danish, Swedish and Finnish companies, and explain how strong domestic and regional investors can help build deeper, more competitive and more attractive Nordic stock markets.
Folketrygdfondet is the Government Pension Fund in Norway and manages approximately Euro 35 billion and is the largest institutional investor on Oslo Stock Exchange, representing around 11 per cent of the main index. While most capital is invested in Norway, approximately 15 per cent is invested across Denmark, Sweden and Finland, making
Folketrygdfondet one of the most important long-term investors in Nordic stock markets.
How can we increase investments from Nordic pension funds in a broader range of Nordic pre-IPO and listed companies?
Expert panel discussion:
Institutional investors play a vital role in building strong and competitive Nordic stock markets. Yet many growth companies struggle to attract long-term institutional capital. This panel brings together leading pension funds, investors and market experts to discuss what companies need to become investable, how barriers can be reduced, and how stronger engagement from Nordic pension funds can support innovation, growth and more listed companies across the region.
Keynote: Going Public in 2026: The BioMar Story
BioMar’s IPO is one of the most significant Danish stock market listings in recent years — and the largest IPO by deal value in eight years in Denmark and the largest in the Nordics in 2026.
With a market capitalisation of approximately €1.45 billion at the IPO price, the listing marks the return of a major Danish company to the public markets after several years with very few IPOs. It is also the first Danish IPO of this scale since Netcompany in 2018.
In this keynote, BioMar shares the story behind its decision to go public in 2026 and how the listing is intended to provide a strong foundation for the company’s continued growth in Denmark and internationally. Hear first-hand about the strategic considerations behind the IPO, the journey to becoming a listed company, and the opportunities that come with access to the stock market and a broader investor base.
Copenhagen Stock Market Closing: Bell, Beer and Networking
Join us as we conclude Nordic IPO + Stock Market Day 2026 with the traditional ringing of the stock market bell. Celebrate an afternoon of inspiring discussions and new connections while enjoying a beer and informal networking with speakers, investors, advisers and business leaders from across the Nordic stock market ecosystem. A fitting end to a day dedicated to stronger Nordic stock markets.
